Omondi Oyoo is a medical doctor with specialization in Rheumatology. He teaches in the department of Clinical Medicine and Therapeutics, faculty of Health Sciences, University of Nairobi. He practices Medicine and Rheumatology at Kenyatta National Hospital. In addition, he offers consultancies in Rheumatology to various health institutions within and outside Nairobi. He is a PhD student in the department of Pharmacy, University of Nairobi. His research interest is in rheumatic diseases with focus on characterizing disease patterns in Kenya and associated factors; and patients’ response to various interventions and associated determinants with the aim of improving outcomes and quality of life. While his life long pursuits have been to challenge and subvert oppressive social structures whether manifest in gender, class, racial or economic hierarchies; his happy space is found in his faith, his family ,  the hours spent outdoors with his friends, hiking and exploring nature,watching football, reading autobiographies and listening to country, gospel and classic music.
