Dr. Kamano is an Endocrinologist/Diabetologist, Senior lecturer and Researcher in Moi University School of medicine. She has trained and mentors a good number of young physicians. Through research, she has contributed to  the Kenyan National health strategies and policies related to NCD especially in areas touching on CVD, diabetes, and use of the primary care platform in addressing NCDs. She is a member of the expert advisory committee of the UNICEF’s Chronic Lifelong Care Model (CLC), and of several technical working groups in the Kenya NCD ICC.
